Welcome to the teaching portfolio of Kaye Blankenship.

I am an aspiring secondary art teacher living in Portland, Oregon. I will have my Preliminary Teaching License with an endorsement in Art as of July 2018.

My Teaching Philosophy: I am dedicated to helping each and every student access their personal and cultural assets within the art classroom. I do this by getting to know my students on a personal and academic level, and then teaching them the skills to convey meaning through their artwork. I am a firm believer in the creative potential of every student, regardless of their art backgrounds or skill level.
